In reflecting reality, at least to a point (the aliens and cowplants might not be as realistic as lumpia and head coverings) the developers would naturally fall to the side of increased diversity. It would be very political for the sims 4, a supposed life sim, to have only straight people, or white people, or casual references to some religions but not others. They can be nonpartisan, as in unaffiliated with a specific political party, but they cannot be completely devoid of worldview.
