These type of moral panics and culture wars aren’t new. I’m assuming that you don’t live under a rock, so you already know that book challenges and book bans have become a battleground of choice for extreme right wing conservatives - creating not only the largest crisis over free speech and education in more than a generation, but also an environment where queer children, trans children, and children of color are not able to see or learn about themselves during key developmental stages of their life.
